Which will it be, Cortez/MC? 1. Fortress McMansions, or 2. City on a Hill, beacon light of the world?

The default, where we're headed, unless a whole bunch of us rise up, roll up our sleeves, and build number two:

1. Default. Fortress McMansions. Pleasant Paradise for the few, law enforcement armies and prisons for most of us. Not the right photo, but the best I could find so far.

  • Big houses and ranches for the rich. 
  • A growing police and Sheriff's Department, endless.
  • Finally a for-profit prison.

2. City on a Hill, beacon light of the world? There was once a great culture on this land. We can do that again. The only ones that can stop us, is ourselves. People come from all over the world to see an old dead culture. We can build a new world leading culture. No? Others are doing it.

With my last breath I'll fight to construct the Beloved Kingdom for all. Because the joy of the attempt is irresistible.

What drove me to discover these materials was feeling exactly what the words above expressed. My nervous system works that way. It senses things long before I have the words to more fully grasp.

I'm worried to death for this town. I'm going to fight for it. You?

To me it seems insane that the crew, and even the passengers, didn't realize that they were headed toward near certain disaster. No moon? No binoculars to the lookouts? Come see so there were no waves bouncing off of the icebergs to make them more visible. Normal speed. Known ice field. Obviously it didn't seem insane. Although we don't know that for sure. Imagine on this luxurious wonderful environment, it was a boat, we're cortez, that someone raised the concern? Do you think anyone will listen to? We know what happened next. I've been the guy on that boat that noticed that something crazy was going on, all of my life. When I could make people money, they listened. Update. James will not be running for City council, but will be on the ballot to vote for. And if citizens get me elected, I will devote myself to fulfilling the duties of the office and more. With all my soul. This was an unexpected update I received from my soul when it woke me up in the middle of the night. Smh. New instructions.  It was an unexpected resolution to a quandary. We are dying by the notion of spectator politics. Putting a gladiator in the ring thinking that's going to change anything. It's entertainment. While the time runs out to save ourselves. I can't feed into that. But barring anything unforeseen, my name is on the ballot, about 40 people quickly and eagerly signed a petition which I was told is approved.
