Cortez, this is not what we were created to be. We are not joyful. Not Thriving.
Cortez, this is not what we were created to be. We are not joyful. Not Thriving.
We've let the culture of man twist us into being consumers. Consumers for other people? Consumers for ourself.
The important question is not whether we have become bad, being born good.
The point is whether the way we're living is rich thriving life, or mere languishing existence.
Are we thriving? Or are we settling for langushing.
[ I swear in front of all that is sacred, as I was preparing to get on the octane sweat machine here at the gym in the rec center, I spun the dial so to speak on my verses, and had the first first read to me. It was this one. I had spent the previous 40 minutes receiving and rendering this post. It was there in my mind as I was rendering the post, but then it came up in black and white. Oh my goodness.]Are you every breath Joyful? Or just at the trough hogging up what personal power / pleasure you can have for ourself?
However we think about it, this 2026 April 7th election is a referendum of what we will make of ourselves in the future.
We're not going to get another chance like this.
Will we have the joyful life of creating a thriving community of Cortez, all factions, every economic level?
Or we will we continue allowing our neighbors in all factions, at all levels, languish and rot? In our pitiful, joyless languishing, little selfishness?
Who demonstrably cares about "them?" Not me! Not my church! Not my club! Not my party! Not my agency! Not my circle! Not my non-profit! Not my foundation! Except as it serves me and my group personally, materially! Except I get $$$ for it.
IT'S NOT MY BUSINESS!!!
Am I talking about the materially impoverished? I'm talking about we the spiritually impoverished. [Who Among Us is filthy rich in thriving? Inside? Spirit inside?]
Including the materially impoverished. We've let too much of what is good inside of us, the joy producing serving part, go dead. That's what I'm talking about.
Exactly what my master was talking about and living for 2,000 years ago. That's why he said, I speak these words that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. We've been leaving it on the table. Let's take it up.
