If you are a true american, pursuing the American dream, and you want someone to Champion that alongside you, do not let me get into City council. Will I fight folks that worship stuff? Never. That's not my place.  Will I champion the thriving joyful life that only comes from radical service, like gospel Jesus and others showed us? I do, I will, with every breath. That's me. The default, where we're headed, unless a whole bunch of us rise up, roll up our sleeves, and build number two: 1. Default. Fortress McMansions. Pleasant Paradise for the few, law enforcement armies and prisons for most of us. Not the right photo, but the best I could find so far. Big houses and ranches for the rich.  A growing police and Sheriff's Department, endless. Finally a for-profit prison. 2. City on a Hill, beacon light of the world? Our economic Outlook is catastrophe. The Cortez and County that we love will not remain unless we tackle this head on urgently. What we need most from City Council is visionary courageous leadership. Did I say money? I didn't say money. I said Visionary courageous leadership. Honestly, factually, courageously,  What is our financial outlook? You tell me? Fossil fuels, agriculture, tourism are declining, if not free-fall. The honest unemployment Outlook is 20% unemployment in just four years, AI being the primary driver, a global economy approaching freefall and accelerator. Childhood poverty approximately 60%, 40% being the Tipping Point where communities become unsustainable, people with money flee with Rising crime etc. The only opportunity is to raise taxes driving all the people with money away, when 35% of the population is elderly and or in poverty, and we in Cortez are there, same with Montezuma county. My deep dive into study of what we could do to brighten our currently dismal future for this city and county, is keeping me away from further developing this site. It will unfold and bits and pieces through february. 40 people signed a petition so they made me available for City council on the ballot the election in April.  I will be available for that creator willing. I will not be campaigning for that. That would be so inappropriate. If people want me in office they will campaign for it. If they don't, they have spoken.  My intention is to flesh out this site so that anyone wants to knows who I am, what I stand for now, what I will stand for with my last breath. In summary, I stand for turning and facing, not turning away from, extraordinary challenges that we in this region, all of us, have facing us at this time.
